These are also known as D Cup coolers & are recommended for cooling of drain line oil of variable displacement pumps having working pressure of upto 70 bar working pressure. They are economical cooler that can also be used in other applications where there is steady oil flow of upto 10 LPM (Max pressure 6 BAR) with no or little pressure pulsations.
